harnesses the power of location to deliver a competitive advantage to our clients in the shortest time and as cost-effectively as possible by using world-class
software and technology. We are the Southern African software and data partner of American company, Pitney Bowes Business Insight (PBBI).
Originally founded as Spatial Technologies in 1994 by partners Alan Ellis (CEO) and Jeff Connacher (CTO) in a response to the market requirement for spatial
business solutions, the business expanded after opportunities that exist within vertical markets were identified. Andre Lombard (COO) joined the company in
2000 and has been instrumental in spearheading growth into these markets.
Today Spatial Technologies is part of the ST Group, which also comprises Connected World Solutions (development support and training) and U Connect
(focused on mobility and resource management solutions).
Both the South African government and the private sector have been deploying STG's products since 1994. These products have wide operational applicability,
and deliver real business value. STG intends to ensure the continuing growth of its market penetration, particularly in the public sector throughout Africa;
thereby capitalising on the opportunities offered by CWS' products and services. The group especially aims to grow its mobile location intelligence businesses
in all sectors of the market.
