Consulting
Because of the very specific nature of ST Group’s skills, there are occasions when clients require specialised consulting services. Consulting services offered, cover such issues as integration, location databases, mobile system deployment and project management. While these services are not actively marketed, they are often necessary in such activities as the production of development specifications and are also used in support of the mainstream of ST Group’s business.
If your staff have difficulty in getting to grips with a problem, our consultants are able to help them resolve problems.
Application and Product Development
Design, specification, development, prototyping, piloting and installation of systems are all included under this service offering. Products identified for delivery to the market and applications specified by clients, are developed by a team of developers who have an intimate knowledge of MI2GO and its service components.
Products can get to the market quicker, applications developments can claim benefits in a shorter time and the costs can be effectively contained using MI2GO.
Developments will run on a multiplicity of operating systems, databases and devices, reducing customisation to a trivial level and making the need for re-programming redundant.
Training and Skills Transfer
Training is a standard service offered by ST Group with a hands-on approach.
Formal training is offered on MI2GO over a twelve week period and monthly courses on MapInfo Pro. Custom training can also be provided when required.
People who attend training courses have a better understanding of the software and are able to get up and running in a much shorter time. Our training exposes people to all the functionality of the software, which gives the trainee an understanding of what is possible, over and above the obvious.
Learnerships in the use of MI2GO are providing a skills pool of accredited deployment staff for partners and customers to derive real benefit from MI2GO.
Support
This service covers ongoing support of systems implementations, product purchases or services delivered. Support contracts may be purchased in effective parcels.
Leveraging off the wide range of skills within our Professional Services team, technical support provides the perfect backup to application development. Our team will provide expert advice on all MapInfo products and any applications developed. This is backed up by a comprehensive support database which ensures clients the quickest turn around time plus the added security of knowing there will always be someone capable of answering their query.
Hosting
Mobile system and web system hosting is provided in limited special circumstances. An example of this is the delivery of data capture services using QuickFacts. Clients can contract for services on a similar basis to a cell phone contract, and their data will be collected on the ST Group’s web server for later use.
Partnering
ST Group has a wide range of joint developments with partners covering data products, applications and mobile products. The objective of these partnerships is the development of products that can be deployed in the market to deliver real value to clients in a shorter time or more effectively than previously.
Channel partners are actively sought and also developed in the use of MI2GO and in the development of products built on MI2GO.
Contract Services
This covers such bespoke work as geo-coding or data capture. Because some clients do not have the capability to undertake major projects, or some that are so small as to be untenable in normal circumstances, ST Group will undertake these tasks on their behalf.
Large contracts requiring specialist skills and specific delivery are also undertaken in conjunction with partners to ensure effective delivery to their clients.
